Traveling with kids can be draining! You need road trip entertainment and I have found the very best item to entertain those kiddos and stop hearing, “Are we there yet?”

Try this amazing travel kit today!

Recently, I discovered a fellow mama entrepreneur at Little Happy Travelers!

I fell in love with her product and I asked her if I could do a review for her road trip entertainment kits. (I paid for my kit, this is not a sponsored post)

Here’s how it works:

Parents can reward their children’s good behavior by handing out “travel bucks.” The children can then “cash in” their travel bucks for prizes or privileges. Included in each travel rewards kit: a set of travel bucks, a handmade wallet with button enclosure to store them in, a set of age appropriate privilege cards and 10 prizes.* (Prizes and wallet design may vary with each kit.) Travel reward kits make a great gift for anyone traveling or vacationing with children. They are geared toward 2 different age groups 3-5 and 6-8 and you can choose a gender or neutral!

Instructions:

1. Decide what type of behavior you wish to reward.

2. Reward the behavior by giving the child “travel bucks.”

3. The child may cash in the travel bucks for prizes or privileges in the reward kit.

*The prizes will come pre-wrapped with travel buck price tags on them.

Our Experience:

We started out with handing out a travel buck for going potty an extra time before we left.

Vito was excited to be a great listener!!

Here are some incentives we used along the way:

  • Bathroom trips at stops
  • Stop making that annoying sound for the next 20 minutes (HAHA)
  • Don’t ask “are we there yet?”
  • Take a picture at this random spot so mom can have “memories” of our trip
  • 5 bucks if you take a NAP
  • Quit kicking the seat in front of you
  • Play quietly with your newly opened toys for 30 minutes

I’m sure you can come up with some way more fun and creative uses to hand out dollars. All in all, he was a really good rider so I would just randomly give him dollars because he was such a good sport!

I used them for the whole weekend, not just the car as nap time and bedtime incentives, and it really worked.

Good for more than just entertainment

He loved counting out his money, and “saving up” for the next big prize. Thus, he was learning basic money skills with this kit too.

Also, he loved just opening the prizes, and they made him feel special.

We ended up getting the large kit, but we only went through about half (he liked buying the free treat coupons too!) So I’m excited to say we will get to use it again on the next trip. After that, I’ll have to buy another because this is my new MUST HAVE for car trips.

Size recommendations would be small for 1 child and large for 2 children.

The toys inside are great! Plus, the wallet is adorable and quality hand-made. Sure you could DIY this kit if you wanted to, but my question would be, why? You are going to spend just as much (or more) money on the prizes, then you wrap them individually. The mystery of the prizes was half the fun! Do yourself a favor and get yourself a kit for your next trip. Your spouse and your children will thank you!

Consensus: WORTH IT!
